From Our Founder Dave
I started fishing in the Chesapeake Bay for Rockfish, White Perch and Croakers in the early 1960's with my Uncle Freddy. There wasn’t much skill involved back then. All you had to do was to put a piece of clam or crab on your hook and drop it in the water.
Through the years, I have experienced most methods of sport-fishing in inland waters from the Susquehanna Flats to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and Coastal waters from Maine to Islamorada, Florida. In every location whether it is Coastal or Inland the same techniques always pay off. Ultimately the information that you will learn will give you the ability to catch fish in a large number of different geographic locations.
As I get older my favorite method of fishing is Light Tackle with small rigged soft plastic baits where I Finesse the fish to bite. This method has been very successful for me and takes minimal physical exertion. I get a big kick out of tricking a fish into thinking that the little piece of plastic at the end of my line is something good to eat.
Things are much different now because of the added fishing pressure. The anglers who are catching consistently with light tackle are using the most sensitive rods with the smallest diameter line, invisible leader material and lures of every size and color. Let me show you some of their advanced techniques, so that you can learn how to consistently catch fish. And, I will show you how to adjust for constant weather condition changes as well.
There are a number of products that I use that are difficult to find, but I can help you locate them. I will only show you baits and tackle that work for me and how to use them which will save you money from buying things that just sit in your tackle box forever.
